Kids Art Classes in Dubai (Ages 4–18)
Drawing, painting, clay and mixed media for children aged 4–18, grouped by age and led by an award-winning artist and an art psychotherapist — in Al Safa 1, Jumeirah, near Safa Park. Fees published in full.
At the International Studio of Art & Galleries (ISOAG), children aged 4 to 18 learn to draw, paint and create in a warm, professionally led studio in Al Safa 1, Jumeirah — moments from Safa Park. Every session is guided by experienced facilitators who tailor each project to your child's age, skill level and interests, so beginners and budding young artists progress at their own pace.
Whether you are looking for a regular after-school art class, a relaxed weekend session, or a one-off walk-in to see if your child enjoys it, we keep things transparent: clear age groups, clear fees, and the option to start with a single class before you commit to a package.
Why families across Jumeirah & Al Safa choose ISOAG
- Small, age-appropriate groups with step-by-step guidance for every child.
- A full creative range — drawing, painting, colouring techniques, clay sculpture and mixed media — not just one medium.
- A genuine local studio in Al Safa 1, Jumeirah, easy for Al Safa, Jumeirah and Safa Park families to reach, with parking nearby.
- Transparent pricing — single classes and value packages — plus sibling discounts. See the full pricing page.
- A founder team you can trust — led by UAE Cultural Golden Visa artist Ruxeena Musthafa, with teaching informed by art psychotherapist Najah Musthafa.
Most kids' art providers in Dubai are based elsewhere in the city, never name their teachers, and say nothing about wellbeing. ISOAG is different on all three counts — a named, awarded founder, a real art psychotherapist shaping how we teach, and a studio right here in Al Safa 1.
Art classes by age group
We group children by stage of development so the projects, attention span and techniques are always a good fit.
Early Years (4–6)
Our youngest artists explore colour, texture and simple shapes through play-led drawing, painting and hands-on clay and mixed-media projects. The focus is on confidence, fine-motor skills and the joy of making — never pressure. Sessions are short, structured and full of encouragement.
Children (6–12)
As children grow, we build real skills: observational drawing, brush control, colour mixing, sculpture and creative mixed-media work. Projects become more ambitious and personal, helping each child develop their own style while learning the fundamentals that support every art form.
Teens (13–18)
Teenagers work on stronger technique, self-expression and, where they wish, a portfolio of finished pieces. Guidance covers drawing, painting in different media, and individual projects — ideal for committed young artists and for students who want creative work for school applications.
What your child will learn
Across all ages, our classes cover the foundations that every artist needs:
- Drawing and sketching fundamentals
- Painting and colour-mixing techniques
- Clay sculpture
- Mixed media and creative experimentation
Each child receives step-by-step guidance suited to their age, ability and interests, so they leave every class with something they are proud of. Many of our young artists go on to explore a favourite medium in more depth, or join our summer art camp during the holidays.

A clinician-informed approach to art & child development
Art is more than a hobby — it supports focus, emotional expression and confidence in children. At ISOAG our teaching is informed by the work of art psychotherapist Najah Musthafa, so classes are designed to nurture each child's wellbeing alongside their creativity. Children build patience and self-belief, learn to express feelings they may not have words for, and experience the quiet pride of finishing something with their own hands.
It is an approach you will not find at a typical Dubai art class, and it is especially valued by families looking for a calm, supportive and confidence-building environment. Learn more about our founders and approach.
Led by founders you can trust
Ruxeena Musthafa — Co-Founder & Creative Director — is a UAE Cultural Golden Visa artist and host of Art2Heart TV, and leads our painting and creative classes. Najah Musthafa — Co-Founder and an art psychotherapist — shapes our clinician-informed teaching. Together they make ISOAG a studio where children are taught by genuine, named professionals, not anonymous part-timers.
