Complete beginners are genuinely welcome — and so are experienced artists who want to sharpen a specific technique. Your tutor — Abu K Muhammed
A native of Kerala, India, Abu K Muhammed is a Fine Arts graduate with over 35 years' experience as an artist in the United Arab Emirates, with a creative journey rooted in heritage, culture and visual storytelling.
He is an artist at the prestigious Sharjah Institute for Heritage and a member of the Guild Art Community, and has taken part in Sharjah Heritage Days, Emirates Fine Arts Society exhibitions, Sharjah Art Museum programmes and the ADNOC Al Dhannah Sustainability Forum. His own practice spans acrylic, oil, watercolour, coffee painting, collage, rust brown technique and Kerala traditional art — which is exactly the range he can open up for you.

Saturday time slots
Each masterclass runs for two hours. Choose the slot that suits you:

What is the Saturday Fine Art Masterclass?
It is a weekend fine art masterclass at ISOAG led by Abu K Muhammed, held on Saturdays in a choice of three 2-hour slots. It suits complete beginners as well as experienced artists, because you learn at your own pace with personalised guidance rather than following a fixed group syllabus.
How much does the masterclass cost?
A single class is AED 250 without materials or AED 300 with materials. A 10-class package is AED 2,000 without materials or AED 2,500 with materials.
What time is the masterclass?
It runs on Saturdays and you choose one of three 2-hour slots: 9:00–11:00, 10:00–12:00 or 11:00–13:00.
Do I need experience to join?
No. The masterclass is designed for complete beginners as well as experienced artists — guidance is personalised, so you are taught from wherever you are.
What will I learn?
Drawing and sketching, portrait study, watercolour, acrylic painting, oil painting, mixed media, texture art, composition and more. Tell us what you would like to focus on and Abu will guide you.
Who is Abu K Muhammed?

How is this different from your regular adult art classes?
They are two separate offerings. The Saturday Fine Art Masterclass is a 2-hour weekend session led specifically by Abu K Muhammed. Our regular adult art classes run through the week in 1.5-hour sessions with our studio facilitators. Many students do both — see our adult art classes page for those.
